How do I analyze referral sources for my links?

To review referral sources, check the source data in the Analytics section of the Slimlink platform. This data will show where your visitors are coming from, such as other websites, search engines, or specific referral links. By understanding which sources are driving the most traffic, you can optimize your marketing efforts and improve engagement.

You can see the referral sources for:
  • all your links,
  • individual links, and
  • link collections.

To view referral sources for all links:

  1. Log in to your Slimlink account.
  2. Open the Analytics section and find the Referral Sources tab. It provides detailed insights into where your visitors are coming from, showing traffic sources such as external websites or referral links. The data is presented in descending order, with the most prominent referral sources at the top, helping you understand which channels are driving the most traffic to your links.

To view referral sources for a specific link:

  1. Log in to your Slimlink account.
  2. Open the Links section and locate the required link.
  3. Then, click the Analytics icon against the entry.
  4. On the link analytics page, find the Referral Sources tab. It offers detailed insights into where visitors to this link are coming from. Sources are ranked from highest to lowest based on the number of visits, helping you identify the key referral channels driving traffic to your content.

To view referral sources for a link collection:

  1. Log in to your Slimlink account.
  2. Open the Collections section and locate the required collection.
  3. Click it to open the detailed collection view, then scroll all the way to the bottom and click Go to analytics.
  4. On the collection analytics page, find the Referral Sources tab, which contains traffic source data for all the links included in the collection.
