Creating a link collection on Slimlink helps organize your links by grouping them based on projects, campaigns, or themes. This feature simplifies link management, enhances collaboration, and makes it easier to track related links together.
To create a link collection:
- Log in to your Slimlink account.
- Navigate to the Collections section, and click Create new collection.
- In the opened window, fill in the fields as described below.
- Collection name: Allows entering a name for the new collection. This title identifies the collection and should reflect its purpose or the types of links it will contain.
- Choose link: Provides a dropdown to select from existing links that will be part of the collection. This ensures that previously created links can be easily added to organized groups.
- Create a new link: Provides a shortcut to create a new link directly from this page. Clicking this option navigates to a link creation page and opens a dialog to generate a new link, which can then be added to the collection.
- Add tags: Enables the addition of tags to the collection. Tags act as keywords to help categorize and search collections quickly, enhancing accessibility and organization. You can either choose existing tags using the dropdown, or add new one by simply typing in the editable field and clicking Enter.
- Description: Provides a text box to add more context or notes about the collection. This space can be used to describe the purpose or content of the collection in more detail, ensuring clarity for future reference.
- Once done, click Create a new collection. The collection is now saved and added to the Collections list.
